Hi there !
I’m Sally and that’s a very recent photo of me in May 2018.
I love being around food and I’ve been involved in the hospitality industry for my whole life.
But I’m also a keen gardener and come from a family, mostly on my Dad’s side, of good ones. My friends tell me that I have “green fingers.” I love to be out in the fresh air growing my own food and flowers too.
Travel has been a big part of my past which I hope to keep doing in the future. I am lucky enough to have been to many countries, always keen to sample the food in each place and that has led me on a few adventures !
Growing up in the countryside near Nelson, NZ, we were always involved in the creative domestic crafts, riding our bikes, swimming in the local river and looking after our many animals, including a milking goat.
One of the highlights has been owning an a la carte restaurant back in the 80’s which I really enjoyed. I loved it and it had such a special cosy atmosphere. In those days I used to take gourmet food magazines to bed with me to get ideas for the frequently changing menu. I was so inspired and excited by the food being created in other restaurants. Now these have no interest for me as I’ve evolved my understanding of what it really takes to be healthy and learned to take responsibility for myself. I’ve adapted my diet a lot over the years and have improved my own health considerably, not that I had anything seriously wrong with me. I’m so passionate about the new way that I eat now – I feel so good and have lots of energy too.
This is the reason I do what I do now – I know that we can transform our whole lives, physically, emotionally and mentally, by eating lots more raw foods. They have a magical power in the body. They light us up and help us to live our very best lives. In 2014 I taught classes in the Nayland College Adult Education Programme which were very popular. This has led me to set up classes of my own and a coaching practice. These classes will help you to learn more about raw foods and the amazing variety of things you can do with fresh vegetables and fruits; how to prepare them and how to be creative with the basic recipes. You’ll get the confidence to try new recipes yourself. You will be blown away by the flavour and appearance of meals made with raw uncooked foods. By adding even a little bit more raw food to your diet on an ongoing basis you will quickly see and feel the effects. You will be inspired, just as I was.
I’m available to help you on a face-to-face basis if you’d like some personal help, where I can guide you with any issues you may be having with transitioning to a better diet. I’ve put together a package for you which consists of the following: I’ll spend some time with you, supporting you to change the foods you currently eat, working with you in your home to clean up your pantry, fridge and freezer of unhealthy foods, going shopping to find better options, and teaching you 3 nutritious and easy dishes to add to your family meals. If that sounds like something you’d be interested in let’s chat about it first. Give me a call or send a message through the website. Looking forward to getting you on track for a much better quality of life !
