Cacao Bliss Balls

  • 14 dates - preferably Medjool or Deglet Noor - stones removed
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder or more if you like a rich chocolate taste
  • 2 tsp each flaxseeds (linseeds), sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp almond or any nut butter
  • 3/4 cup (90g) almonds
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup, honey or maple syrup
  1. In a food processor, (not a blender eg Nutribullet) .place all ingredients EXCEPT almonds and whizz till a coarse paste. Add almonds and pulse to get a slightly sticky texture. Pinch a bit between your fingers to check if it's sticky enough to hold its shape.
  2. Remove mixture from processor and shape into balls.
  3. You could roll them in dessiccated coconut, finely chopped nuts, cacao powder, carob powder maca powder, matcha powder or anything else. If you choose a couple of things to roll them in they would make a lovely gift for someone, packaged up nicely in a bag or a box.
  4. Place in fridge to firm up before packaging.
