- 25gm watercress
- 1 large ripe pear (I use Packham variety)
- 2 tbsp wheatgerm
- 150ml yoghurt, milk kefir or non-dairy varieties of either
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds (linseeds)
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- mineral water, water kefir, sparkling water,etc
In a high powered blender put all ingredients and whizz till very smooth.
You may like to make the rim of the glass a bit fancy before filling the glass up. Dip in lemon juice and then into ground flaxseeds or finely chopped nuts. Add ice cubes to the glass before pouring smoothie in. Garnish the drink with a small sprig of watercress. Sip and enjoy!
